Basic information


 Basic Speech Camp:
a) Cost: $45
b) Where: Open Door Baptist Church 17014 44th Avenue West Lynnwood, WA 98037
c) When: June 26-29th, 9-4 pm
d) What: Exposure to the three kinds of speeches (platform, interpretive, limited preparation) and grounding in the construction and delivery of each
e) Who: Students with limited or no experience in speech, Competition age (i.e. 12 years by Jan  2013).
f) Staff: Acacia Danielson, Ben Winslow, Ashton Winslow, Jack deVight, Paul Charvet

Parents: Parent are welcome to come and take part in a parent orientation and in observing some of the student sessions, but we urge parents to remember that one of the major parts of this camp is helping students to build confidence in public speaking; a major foundation of which is camaraderie and confidence in a "team spirit" built with their fellow students. 

 Intensives
 All intensives will be held at the Danielson's house: 7822 182nd Pl. SW Edmonds, WA 98026

INTERPRETIVES
a) Cost - $20
b) When: July 12-13th, 9am-3pm
c) Who: Students with 3 years experience or competed at higher level of competition if < 3 years.
d) What: focus on things such as message, character development, plot line.
e) Staff: Acacia Danielson and Ashton Winslow

 PLATFORM & DEBATE COMMUNICATION
a) Cost - $20
b) When: July 19-20th, 9am-3pm
c) Who: Experienced students d
d) What: Platforms will be covered on the first day and debate communication on the second day. Students are required to pay for both days but are allowed to only attend one, although debaters are encouraged to attend the platform speaking session. For platforms, we will highlight organization, presentation, and breadth of knowledge. For debate, we will emphasize delivery and presentation with movement, emotion, and writing skills. Debaters are encouraged to bring their 1AC or current case.
